Alastair Winter is Chief Economist at Daniel Stewart & Company and a corporate advisor on currency hedging, interest rates and the money markets. Economic Insights is written for commercial companies as well as institutional and other sophisticated investors to help them understand how developments in global markets, macroeconomics and politics might affect them. Alastair was born and went to school in Glasgow and is a graduate of the University of St Andrews. He has worked in the City of London in banking and treasury management for over 30 years and co-founded stockbrokers Daniel Stewart & Company in 1989. He has been a client of Abercrombie Gemmell since it was first established.
