We've now held the second part of our 'Race Night' to support The Erskine, our charity of the year, raising £110 without even having to leave the office!
Staff gathered in the office over two evenings to place their bets on a series of recorded races. Everyone pitched in £10 entrance fee which allowed them the equivalent of £1k per race to bet with (in virtual money unfortunately!) and our bookie Elaine Guthrie ran the show with aplomb.
Gary and Stuart placing their bets with our 'bookie', Elaine.
The winner of the first night was Jillian Stark from the Tax department, and the winner of the second night was Colin Abercrombie (amid allegations of fixing etc) who was delighted having won the booby prize of a potato during the first leg!
Anne, Fiona and Gail with their betting slips.
Colin with the winning slip!
Our next fundraising venture is the 'Three Peaks Challenge' which will see staff climbing Ben Nevis, Ben Lomond and Goat Fell over three weekends during the summer. Watch this space for further details...
